Namita Nayyar:

Anjali you started your journey with Alok Ulfat and Actors Truth By Saurabh Sachdeva, tell us about your journey and how did you decide to pursue acting?

Anjali Sharma

I was very much involved in school plays as a child . I love storytelling and there’s always been a desire in me to express myself creatively. I fondly recall my frequent engagement in a wide array of outdoor activities and my enthusiastic participation in various theatre and dance competitions. My desire to bring stories and characters to life got me to pursue acting .
Being an outsider in this industry has undeniably presented me with numerous challenges. Making my journey a demanding and arduous one. However , I find it remarkable how far I’ve come compared to my humble beginnings. I am immensely grateful for the opportunities that have come my way. If asked , I’d affirm without hesitation that I have always aspired to be an actor from the very outset. My passion for acting was very evident during my school years when I actively participated in dancing and theatre

Namita Nayyar:

You were recently part of Operation Mayfair , tell us about your debut experience and how did you manage to grab the role? Struggles and shortcomings you face?

Anjali Sharma:

That’s a very very long story . It was almost 1 year since I shifted to Mumbai from Delhi ( my home ) , I was giving numerous auditions on a daily basis . Meeting people , and just too much of hustle. So one day , it was January 2022 , someone introduced me with the director “ Sudipto Sarkar “ and he was casting for Operation Mayfair, his film , so after meeting him , it took me a month or so to finally convince him to take me in the film.  And yes that’s how , I got this film . I even had to lose 6 kgs for this film in 2 months . Sudipto sir called me one day that Anjali the brief is changed , you now have to lose 6-7 kgs for this character and we have to 2 months to go on-floor . This in-itself is huge task , losing weight in such a short time and then at the same time , I was taking acting workshops to prepare myself for it. But yes , all I can say is , it was all worth it . Even till now , people message me on Instagram, telling me that they watched operation Mayfair and loved me in the part . These are the only things that keeps me going and just face everything fearlessly.

Namita Nayyar:

Women Fitness India talks about celebrity diets and fitness routine. What is your diet routine? Do you cheat on your diets often?

Anjali Sharma

I had to lose 6 kgs in 2 months for Operation Mayfair ( my debut film ) , it was a very short period and then is when I started to follow intermittent fasting and it has definitely helped me a lot . I feel more energetic , it has helped in cleansing my body when it comes to eating appropriate portions and not consuming a lot of junk . And yes I do cheat

, it’s mostly sundays . My favorite cheat meal has to be Pasta.

Namita Nayyar:

What consists of your fitness routine? Do you prefer functional or weight training?

Anjali Sharma

I have different timing of working out  generally depends on my work schedule. I try to incorporate different things while working out , it can be yoga , weight training, functional and even dancing . The most important thing is to keep moving !

Namita Nayyar:

Social media is a boon and bane, how do you keep up with the negative side of social media?

Anjali Sharma

In today’s era , when you’re consuming so much through social media , it’s very important to understand where to put a full stop and what to imbibe. I try to take out time for myself , spending time with my family and loved ones. I make it a point to journalize my thoughts each day .

Namita Nayyar:
