Ms. Asha Negi

Yes, definitely Miss Uttrakhand was a stepping stone and the beginning of everything, when I actually realized that I could try my luck in Mumbai, I had to pursue my parents to let me go and pursue my dream since I came from a middle-class family where I didn’t know anything about this industry it was a sheer dream, but I am glad I took the leap of faith and I want to thank myself for dreaming this big because that has all made the difference.

Ms. Namita Nayyar

You have been part of reality shows as well, like Nach Baliye and Khatron Ki Khiladi, what is your choice of genre as an actor, and your experience when working on reality shows?

Ms. Asha Negi

Yes, I have been part of various reality shows like you mentioned and also done a lot of hosting, but my personal favorite experience was Fear Factor because firstly I didn’t want to do it but I eventually went for it, and I consider it now one of the best journey and I am glad I took it because I got to explore myself and therefore something like Fear Factor would be my favorite genre.

Ms. Namita Nayyar

Women Fitness India talks about celebrity diets and fitness regimes, do you follow any special diets, and what is your favorite cuisine?

Ms. Asha Negi

Earlier I was not that big on diet, but now obviously I am more aware thanks to my trainer for that, also I am a big foodie too.

I follow intermittent fasting and a low-carb diet, but sometimes I do end up eating rice and home-cooked vegetables, my favorite cuisine has to be Indian but I do relish pizzas and pasta . Italian in general so it’s tough to choose my favourite cuisine.

Ms. Namita Nayyar

As a celebrity you are bound to look a certain way, how do you keep up with eating schedules and workout routines?

Ms. Asha Negi

Yes, that’s true that being an actor you need to look good and in a certain way, but I think eating consciously is important overall it makes you feel good in general.

So basically while I am shooting I follow intermittent fasting and a low-carb diet, I try to avoid cheating as much as possible because sometimes you are on a very strict schedule and can’t afford to cheat on your diet.

Ms. Namita Nayyar

Being an outsider in the industry who has made its own standing, what advice or tips to readers who aspire to be in the industry?

Ms. Asha Negi

The only advice I would like to give is that if you have a dream don’t give up on it, because dreams do come true, there might be days when you feel underconfident or lack motivation because even I go through such days but you need to focus on your dream and never stop chasing it!

Ms. Namita Nayyar

Social media comes with its own pros and cons, how do you deal with negative trolling and backlash?

Ms. Asha Negi

Earlier, yes I used to get affected a lot by social media trolling, but now I believe it’s a part of our lives, especially if you are a celebrity or are in the public domain, so now I don’t give it that much heat, I have come to realize that it’s their thoughts and mentality and I cannot change it so now I don’t think about it that much honestly.

Ms.Namita Nayyar:

Being a cover girl for Women Fitness India you are an inspiration to our readers, but how would you define yourself as a “Woman”, what are your insecurities and strength?

Ms. Asha Negi

Thank you so much for putting me on the cover for Women Fitness India, I feel grateful for being an inspiration to the readers, honestly, I feel that we are all humans and its very normal to have insecurities and everyone does even I do have them and the beauty is to accept it and take it not as a flaw but embrace it rather.

For me, my strength is my positive attitude and my eagerness to learn more, I’m always in the mindset to learn more and broaden my horizon and I think that is my strength, and for insecurities, I still do have them I remember having biggest insecurity of not being able to do public speaking, I used to cancel interviews for this reason because I was so under-confident that how will I manage to speak but overtime I used my strength to overcome it and I think that has made the difference

Ms.Namita Nayyar:

Lastly, message your fans and your upcoming projects

Ms.Asha Negi
