Dharna Durga The Queen Of Comedy!

Dharna Durga never imagined herself to be a content creator, more so a funny one. Being a part of the theatre, she always loved to perform or as she calls it, do ‘dramebaazi.’ Playing different characters came naturally to her from her observational skills, but what she never knew was these skills would bring her immense stardom and a lot of money too 😉

Like most of us, Dharna was looking for something to get her through the pandemic. Out of boredom, Dharna along with her friends started giving video challenges to each other to mimic somebody or just to make a funny video.

One of those incidents when the stars align to put you on a bigger path, Dharna’s video was loved by her friends. Them being true friends, pushed Dharna to post this on her social media and hence began the journey of this comedy queen.

Women Fitness India gets into a heart-to-heart conversation with Dharna Durga as she graces our July Digital Cover.

Namita Nayyar:

Dharna you are one of the most trending Instagrammer and entertainer right now, tell us how it feel.

Dharna Durga

It feels amazing especially when you haven’t planned it, and you began your journey thinking that a few people may join you in this journey, but the amount of love that came along is unbelievable and I am totally grateful.

Namita Nayyar:

What content creation is always a dream? How did your journey begin?

Dharna Durga

So content creation was never a part of the plan, I had been part of the acting field since I did theatre in college, but never content creation was something I thought of. I used to mimic and act for my friends, they all appreciated me and hence I thought why not take it a level up that is when I posted it initially started with IGTV, then on reels and my content gathered attention it got viral and many creators also reposted and shared it and so my journey actually began in the content field.

Namita Nayyar:

Being a comedy content creator, how do you keep yourself motivated? Are there days when you don’t wish to create comic content?

Dharna Durga

Of course, there are days when you don’t feel like creating content I do go through content block. In these moments the biggest motivation is my audience, who are waiting for our content and look forward for it. So yes that’s my biggest motivation and of course my passion for acting.

Namita Nayyar:

Being in the industry and seeing yourself grow, what advice you would like to give to your younger self and people who look up to you?

Dharna Durga:

The best advice I would like to give to my younger self that don’t think you are less than anyone, don’t ever be demotivated by what others say about, always follow your dreams be sure of what you want to achieve and eventually things will fall in place and just don’t lose hope, it will take time but it will eventually happen.

Namita Nayyar:

With the ever-growing influencer industry what is your biggest dream in this career and your insecurity for the same?

Dharna Durga:

I really wish to move forward in the acting field and to feature in a web series or movie.

The biggest insecurity I feel since I began as an influencer and content creator is to ever go irrelevant on social media and have a dip in my career when the audience don’t feel connected to me.

Namita Nayyar:

Who is your favorite influencer? Your favorite genre on the gram?

Dharna Durga:

I love watching comedy videos on Instagram and also dance videos. To name a single influencer I love the most would be difficult there are lot of videos that are my favorite some have great acting, some have great cinematography and also great story line. So it tough to pick a favorite influencer separately.

Namita Nayyar:

Lastly what has been the best appreciation you have ever received?

Dharna Durga:

So I would I like to share an incident one of my followers shared that she wasn’t in touch with her mother due to some misunderstanding, but she shared my video with her and that lead to be an icebreaker between the two and I felt so happy hearing this, because when you creating content you don’t tend to realize the impact that it can create on someone.
