You are a professional celebrity makeup artist with more than 15 years of experience and are rated amongst the top 5 makeup artists in Mumbai. Share more input about your journey and 5 series of events that lead to your entry into this industry?

Hi I am a Celebrity makeup Artist Dimplle S Bathija from Mumbai and i started my makeup Journey assisting Cory Walia also internationally trained from Bobbi Brown and Trained under Pakistani Makeup artist Annie Shah from London with more than 18 years of Experience , Dimplle is known for doing Makeup for High end weddings in Mumbai & Destination weddings in India & Destination weddings Abroad like Bangkok , Hongkong , Bali , Singapore, Kuala Lumpur & Dubai
…Amongst all the looks that I create Bridal makeup is my personal favourite.

It gives me immense pleasure to add glamour to the brides on their big days. I believe in using only high end make up brands like MAC, Bobby Brown, Makeup Forever, Anastasia Beverlyhills, Chanel, Armani, etc…. I always Believe in updating myself with the Current Trends of Makeup hence I also trained and got Certified from Brazilian Makeup Artists like Alessandro Alcantara and Raphael Oliver.


The Reason I got into this industry is cos of Cory Walia Makeup artist who appreciated my makeup that I did on myself on my cousins wedding and he was like u should take it up as a Profession and that’s how I assisted him n started my journey so I owe it to him for making me realise and giving me this opportunity also as I child I always loved dressing up n doing makeup so it was immense Passion for Makeup that got me to where I am Today

According to you “Indian women have the most captivating eyes” Please share your exclusive eye makeup tips for festive season & new year?

Yes according to me indian women have the Most Captivating Eyes so u can really Play around a lot with the Eyes… My Eye Makeup for the upcoming Festive Season & New Year would be to go all out Glam as I love Glamorous Looks Playing around with Glitter always adds on and if u have big eyes then use Kohl and if u have small eyes then add white Liner inside your as it helps in making it look Bigger , Add on some Beautiful Lashes to create a Dramatic Fluttering Eyes also again I like matching makeup to the outfit so one can opt for Nude Looks or Classic Smokey Eyes and if you are the Experimental type then use of Bold Colors like Shades of Pink , blue and Purple is really in Trend as Brazilian Eye Makeup is one of Favorite

Make-up hygiene is of great significance which many tend to ignore. Reasons why is it so important?

Maintaining a Good Makeup Hygiene is so important and essential I would say cos we artist work on Different people and all the more now in Covid u have to Clean and Sanitize ur Products and Brushes making sure all infections are at Bay

Bride-to-be tend to be nervous and end up any and every beauty, skin and hair care treatment to look their best on the D’day? Your piece of advice to the girls out there to be married?

My Advice to Brides to be is don’t stress & sleep well as stress shows on your Face making your Face Dull and no sleep will further add on to Dark Circles, make sure to keep yourself hydrated at all times and a proper intake of food and vitamin Supplements…

Brides-to-be usually do get nervous because it’s the most important day and there is so much to look into but stay calm, choose the Outfits and wedding Theme and please compromise compromise on a Good Makeup Artist and a good Photographer as it can make it or break it…so choose your best wisely, pre discuss the looks and be at comfort with your artist.

look into your skin and see a good dermatologist as they would recommend good Glow Bridal Facials and Hair Treatments if you need any…Get a Good Hair Color and Haircut that makes a lot of difference n keep your hair length as long as possible and try not to do any har straightening Treatments as that really restricts in Creating good Hairstyles.

Another big tip please do not us conditioner on the Day of your Event as it makes it difficult to style the hair.

According to you a personal vanity case should essentially contain products like.. Share top 8 along with the brands?

For Personal Vanity Case I highly recommend using Good Quality Products on your Face so that you don’t get any reactions ( 8 is not enuff so gona list more )

  1. Skincare products like cleanser , moisturizer , Toner & Face Mask I recommend from innisfree, Perenne Cosmetics , Kiehls , Lancome, clarins and estee lauder depending on requirements and budget.
  2. Makeup Brushes from Mac Cosmetics , Morphe Brushes , Pac Cosmetics and Vega Brushes.
  3. Foundation & Setting Powder -Buying a Right Foundation is very important you can pick a shade matching to your skin tone or a shade or 2 brighter than your Skin Tone always test it on your Jawline, I recommend brands like Mac , Nars , Charlotte Tilbury, Makeup Forever , Too Faced , Hudabeauty and Armani being my Personal Favorite and Setting your Foundation is utmost important it ensures your Foundation to stay in Place and gives a Flawless Look , Brands like Laura mercier , Hudabeauty and Mac
  4. Eyeshadow Palettes – are a great option as you get variety of Shades in one Palette , I recommend Hudabeauty, Urbandecay , Too Faced , Natasha Denona and Morphe Palette.
  5. Mascara – invest in a Good Waterproof Mascara very important, I recommend Brands like Benefit , lancome , l’oreal, urbandecay cosmetics and Tom Ford.
  6. Browkit is very essential to shale and fill in your Brows , I recommend Brands like Benefit and Anastasia beverlyhills.
  7. Contouring & Highlight – is a Game Changer as it transforms your Faces and helps in Sculpting your Cheek bones , Nose , jawline and Forehead and Highlight all your Highlighting points like Bridge of the Nose , Under the Eyes , chin and centre of your Forehead , I recommend brands like Nars , Fenty Beauty , Anastasia beverlyhills.
  8. kohl Pencil – should be waterproof and long wear , I recommend brands like 24 hour Pencil from Urbandecay, Makeup forever, lakme , nykaa and NYC cosmetics.

My Personal Skincare Routine is cleansing , Moisturizing & Toning , using face mask n face sheets and i do a cleanup and a facial once a month , for my I use natural home made Hair Packs and oil with Vit E Capsule and hair spa

Throw light on the diet plan you follow? You like to kick start your day with? Do you follow any detox tips?

Following a Diet gets kind of Difficult for me as I a big Foodie and I love Chocolates and desserts, I have tried a lot of diets like keto , gluten free dairy free etc but what works for is portion control and start your day with Fat First a spoon of Coconut Oil , Warm water With Haldi & Lime and apple cider vinegar.

5 stress busting tips at work?

I always work at Ease so stress Busting tip would be a good conversation with clients, listening to some Music , being prepared with the look to create , discuss the looks with ur clients in advance so it doesnt create any stress, be easygoing with clients and munch on some munchies

You are the best in bridal make-up? Share the Steps you follow to help a bride to look flawless that are unique to your style & brand?

I love playing with Contouring & Highlighter to sharpen the Features of the Face and Highlighter as I love my Brides look Happy, shining and Glowing on their wedding days as I love the Ultra Glam Looks and using a Fixer to make it stay all through the event and using Waterproof Makeup
