Elnaaz Norouzi Makes Her Move.

elnaaz norouzi

Elnaaz Norouzi is an Iranian born actress who lives in India and stars as one of the leads in India’s first and massively popular Netflix series, SACRED GAMES, which was nominated for an International Emmy Award.

Not understanding a single word of Hindi, the Iranian-German fangirl, consumed his idiom of love through the subtitles of his films… living continents away. And one day, she landed in India’s glamour capitol to breathe her dream and play out her destiny. She shot to fame as Zoya Mirza in Saif Ali Khan’s neo-noir thriller series Sacred Games. Films like Hello Charlie and Jug Jug Jeeyo

, web series Abhay and Chutzpah, international projects Tehran S2 and Kandahar opposite Hollywood biggie Gerard Butler… Elnaaz is proof that talent cannot be constrained by boundaries or bias. In fact, Zoya Akhtar’s Made in Heaven 2 is her somersault into the elite club. Yet, what stands out about Elnaaz is her compassion and courage, her crusade against ‘hijab’ in Iran winning her both flowers and flak. If her art is in the right place, so is her heart.

Women Fitness gets on board with Elnaaz on films, journey and fitness as she graces our November cover.

Namita Nayyar:

Elnaaz being an outsider and establishing yourself in Bollywood, how would you define your journey?

Elnaaz Norouzi

To define my journey in Bollywood I would say Long, Bumpy and Struggle, and establishing myself in the world of Bollywood has been the hardest. It hasn’t been very inviting in the industry as an outsider, I feel you really have to work your way to build your way here and it has been a struggle honestly.

Women Fitness India talks about celebrity diets and fitness regimes, do you follow any special diet? What is your favorite cheat meal

Elnaaz Norouzi

During covid, I put on a lot of weight around 8 kilos, this was because I felt sick and I was back in Germany enjoying food with my family but when I came back I had to lose weight because I had to start shooting for my shows and then is when I started to follow intermittent fasting and it has definitely helped me a lot, I feel more energetic it has helped in cleansing my body when it comes to eating appropriate portions and not consuming a lot of junk. My favorite cheat meal has to be pizza!

Namita Nayyar:

What comprises your fitness regime? What time of the day do you work out and why so?
