Kada Prasad: Gurupurab Special Recipe

If you happen to be visiting a Gurudwara on Guru Nanak Jayanti. You will love the food served at the langar usually includes bread, rice, lentils, buttermilk or vegetables with lassi. The prasad is called the Kada prasad. It is a traditional pudding made from wheat flour.

It is very easy to make, you can also try at home. So let us tell you about making hard prasad.

How to make Kada Prasad:

1) The first prerequisite for this recipe is to have the atta, ghee & sugar in equal quantities. In a pan, add the ghee. Once the ghee has heated slightly, add the atta & allow the mix to turn slightly brownish & impart a nice, nutty aroma. Make sure that the atta has absorbed well into the ghee
2) Once the colour of the mix has changed, add the sugar & give it a good mix. Once the sugar is absorbed well, add some water. Mix well.
3) When you see the ghee separating from the mix, time to remove it from the pan.
4) Garnish with chopped nuts of your choice & serve!
