Indian TV Actress Jasmin Bhasin Talks About Fitness, Diet Rituals & Her Love For Acting!

Jasmin Bhasin

Jasmin Bhasin is an Indian Actress and model, known for her role of Twinkle Taneja in Zee TV’s popular romantic series Tashan-e-Ishq. Jasmin has done a number of movies down south and has appeared in many commercial ads. She made her film debut in the Tamil film Vaanam. Currently, she’s playing the role of Teni in Dil Se Dil Tak on Colors TV.

Women Fitness India recently got the wonderful chance to speak to this talented young actress. Let’s take a look at what she had to say.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You had absolutely impressed all the viewers with your debut show, Tashan-E-Ishq (as Twinkle) and are doing a fantastic job on the show Dil Se Dil Tak. Share with our viewers your incredible journey of becoming an actor?

Ms. Jasmin Bhasin:

My journey of becoming an actor was never planned it just happened by destiny. It was destined for me to become an actor because I was very happy working on my job in Delhi but co-incidently I guess God had plans that I met two people from the industry I started doing ads, ended up doing South Indian movies, then I came to Mumbai and I started doing television, I just kept on doing what came across my way and I gave my best to it.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Before entering the Hindi TV industry you were a part of the South Indian Film industry. What motivated you to try out Hindi TV shows then? Also, introduce us to your day-routine.

Ms. Jasmin Bhasin:

I was little tired of traveling and I was acting in South film industry so I thought I had restrictions and I wanted to work where the language was more comfortable. Then the beautiful show came to me Tashn-e-Ishq with a beautiful cast and it changed my life. My daily routine is I get up at 7:30 in the morning freshen up I get ready to leave for my set and then back to back shooting, I pack up by 10 pm and then post pack up I go to the gym or workout and then I am home and I go to bed. I have a very simple routine.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You recently did a bold and beautiful photoshoot where you looked absolutely stunning and fit. How did the idea crop up?  Unfold the exercises that comprise your fitness regime? Do you advocate the idea of going to the gym or hiring a personal trainer?

Ms. Jasmin Bhasin:

I wanted to explore myself physically as how comfortable I am to what extent and how comfortable I am in my own skin that’s why I was adamant about were no Photoshop or color corrections were there and of course, I am very comfortable with my friend, who is a very famous photographer Kapil so I thought lets give it a try and it came out really well. I basically do weight training, a little bit of cardio and I advocate going to the gym, it’s not important to hire a personal trainer there are many apps on the phone we can just watch them and workout, just be aware of your body, listen to your body if it says to rest for a day or two, don’t force your body for anything.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Eating healthy is an integral part of living a fit lifestyle. Being a food lover and enjoying parathas, dosa etc. The first thing you start your day with? How do you balance your meals to stay healthy and physically fit? Enlist your 5 favorite foods you would fall for any time?

Ms. Jasmin Bhasin:

I love food and I cannot resist my love for unhealthy food. I start my day with a glass of warm water with lemon and honey, I started having chlorophyll water which is very good for your liver and your skin, I start my day with that. I try to balance my meal by cheating once in a week because I love to eat things which are unfortunately unhealthy so to keep myself happy and healthy, I cheat once a week. Five favorite foods I will fall for any time are Butter chicken, Pizza, Spaghetti Meatballs, mango and malai ice-cream, and jalebis.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Do you have a glowing skin and beautiful hair – what skin and hair care tips would you like to share with our visitors?

Ms. Jasmin Bhasin:

Let your skin and hair breathe as much as you can. Natural growth is the prettiest I avoid putting anything in my hair and on my face and because of the profession if you have to then take breaks, nurture them nourish them. Also, one more tip I would like to share is that don’t rub off your make up quickly the amount of time taken to put on the makeup take that much time to remove it. Pamper your skin, take it off smoothly and nicely.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

In a recent interview, you spoke about your inhibitions and struggles, “I’ve grown up with a lot of inhibitions and with notions that I’m ugly, dark, skinny. Now, I’m at a stage of life, where I want to accept myself the way I am.” Share with us your story of coming to terms with your body and skin, and accepting and loving who you are.

Ms. Jasmin Bhasin:

Nothing happens overnight it takes time so over the years I realized to be happy in my own skin, I believe in the fact that I am unique with my flaws and if I will not love myself how will the world love me. So you have to love yourself first.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

With an audience of over 589K followers on your Instagram account @jasminbhasin2806 you’re a social media sensation and an internet leading star. How does it feel that you are able to inspire and motivate so many individuals?

Ms. Jasmin Bhasin:

People loving me so much I cannot say anything because it’s they like me and the honesty that I have, they see it in my eyes, that is what attracts my audience to me and I love them all. I believe in sending all the love I have for them and I do that at least once a day It feels great that I am able to motivate so many people and I would love to keep doing that. This is a very small contribution that I can give others. I feel so great and so much gratitude for everyone who has loved me so much.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

In 2015, you were cast as the female lead in Zee TV’s popular romantic series “Tashan-E-Ishq”, for which you received immense love and appreciation from the audience around the world and won the best debut award in Gold Awards. How does it feel to have your years of hard work and determination being rewarded and appreciated?

Ms. Jasmin Bhasin:

I love awards and rewards too but awards are the ones that motivate me, inspire me and I think awards are the reason I am pushing myself to do better day by day.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Other than your current show, your fans would love to know about your future projects that you may be working on? Also, apart from acting, how do you like to spend your time?

Ms. Jasmin Bhasin:

Apart from acting I love to spend time with my family, friends, my dog I love shopping and sleeping. Right now I am concentrating on my show Dilse Dil Tak and putting all my energy into this show lets see how long we can go in it. In future also I would want to do acting if anything interesting I will share with everyone soon.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Cut-throat competition dominates in all areas of our life. Extend out of your experience, the role of hard work to survive in the entertainment industry. What would be your best tips for a newcomer entering the Indian TV Industry?

Ms. Jasmin Bhasin:

Cutthroat competition dominates in all areas of life, I am the person who never believes in competing with anybody I give myself my goals and limits Okay this is what I have to achieve because if you are competing with somebody you will always be a loser. So compete with yourself invest time and energy in yourself. Set limits and goals for yourself if you are doing something do it whole heartedly and perform at your job and you will 100% succeed in it. An advice I would like to give the newcomers is don’t believe in doing your job, believe in performing your job and you will shine for sure. Out of 100 mostly 98 must be doing and not performing, believe in performing and not just doing I am sure your life will change.

Ms. Jasmin Bhasin:

It’s very nice that you guys are doing motivating and providing guidance for women in terms of health, fitness, nutrition, and beauty and fashion, please keep doing that we need you to evolve our self and know better. A message for everyone don’t force yourself for anything if you are happy in life you take right decisions don’t make decisions under pressure don’t come under pressure that is not how you achieve things in life. You achieve things in life is what you want you should do it on your own conditions and there will be hundred people who will tell you, you cannot decide on what they say you need to be clear on how and what things you want and work towards it. The sooner you accept your strength the sooner nobody can defeat you.
