Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Your well-acclaimed role of Khirad Ehsan in Momina Duraid’s Humsafar for which you received numerous accolades including Lux Style Awards for Best Television Actress, How was your experience doing the show? Do you believe that this show was a rolling stone in your career?

Ms. Mahira Khan:

I was new in the industry when I did Humsafar. It was my second serial. It was one of the purest experiences of my life. I was not in a good space personally at the time, so for me going to that set was an escape. Also, it was a very heavy role, the central character of the drama. So I needed to give it my all. And all I could give it was honesty. That’s why I think Khirad was raw and hit a chord with the audience. This show was a milestone in my career as well as the industry as a whole for sure, in Pakistan.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You have hosted AAG TV’s reality show Weekends with Mahira, where you played music videos spoke to celebrity guests and took phone calls from viewers.5 tricks to being a great host of programs on TV.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Tell us, what was the biggest challenge of acting in Superstar your recent hit?

Ms.Mahira Khan:

I would say for me it was the long theater scenes. To convince the audience that I was a theater actor who comes on stage and says long monologues.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

What kind of diet do you follow to stay healthy and physically fit? We would like you, to share the top 5 health tips with your fans?

Ms. Mahira Khan:

To be honest, I’m not the best person to comment on fitness. I hardly work out. I do love dancing and yoga. Health wise – i always have my breakfast no matter what and I try to avoid junk food.

Ms.Namita Nayyar

You look as evergreen and beautiful as always – what comprises your daily skin and hair care routine? 5 must-do’s when it comes to taking care of your body? One favorite beauty tip?

Ms.Mahira Khan

Thank you, but I’ve definitely aged over these ten years. I can see it and feel it. But there are certain things which I’ve always done, I can share it with you. I always clean my make up at night after the shoot. Some oil in the hair is always a good idea before taking a shower.

Ms.Namita Nayyar:

How do you strike a balance between your food choices and looking fit as your profession demands you to look best? Is it challenging?

Ms.Mahira Khan:

I’ve been very lucky to be honest all this time but I think I need to start paying more attention to my food choices now. I am a big foodie. I love my Desi food and a good burger. I think anything in moderation is ok, I’ve stuck to that pretty much all my life ( my friends won’t agree with this answer!)

Ms.Namita Nayyar:

With success comes huge responsibility, do you think you have managed it all well till date?

Ms.Mahira Khan:

I really hope so. I have tried to be responsible. But I’m not perfect and so I manage as well as I can.
