Ms. Namita Nayyar

Malvika you started your journey back in 2016 as a content creator, today as one of the leading digital creators now that you look back how would you define your journey, and the best advice you would give someone starting today.

Ms. Malvika Sitlani

I feel blessed. Very few people get to live their dream. Today, I can honestly say that I’m grateful for my failures. When I was going through these rough patches, I did not understand it and was angry most of the time. We can easily blame our circumstances or we can do something about it. I chose to pave a way for myself so that I never have to see those downfalls again.

It has been a bitter-sweet journey. My advice would be to put in your hours

, do something you love, be authentic & show up for yourself every single day. You truly have the keys to that locked door, you and only you can break it open. You get to design your own life – have faith and push forward.

Ms. Namita Nayyar

You recently started your own brand MASIC beauty, tell us about your ideology behind it and where do you wish to take the brand forward.

Ms. Malvika Sitlani

I’ve been in the content creation space for 7 years now & I wanted to leave behind something for my loyal audience who stood by me, no matter what. I saw some gaps in the market and wanted to create something that I could be proud of.

Malvika + Basic = MASIC. It’s a budget-friendly luxury brand. We have 3 divisions – Home, Bath & Body & Beauty. I’m truly excited about building the Beauty division! It has been a far-fetched dream that I’m hoping we can turn into reality soon! I just want everyone to feel like they have a small part of me in their homes. MASIC is simply an extension of myself. I want you to experience simplicity with a touch of luxury at an affordable price.

Ms. Namita Nayyar

Women Fitness India, talks about celebrity diets and fitness regimes, do you follow any special diet? Which is your favorite cuisine? Also, you recently mentioned on social media that you have adopted a vegetarian lifestyle and your motive behind it.

Ms. Malvika Sitlani

No, I don’t follow any diet as such. I absolutely LOVE my meals! I’ve always been a foodie. However, I make sure that I work out three times a week. I love my workout sessions in the mornings, it’s all about eating well & putting in the hours to stay fit. I have definitely cut down on sodas – it used to be my weakness! But it’s terrible for you!

And yes, I am a vegetarian. It’s been almost 2 years now. It’s one of the best decisions I could have made.

During the pandemic, I came across a page on Instagram called “Earthlinged” & he said something that touched a chord – He posed a question “Does your sensory pleasure justify the act of killing an innocent being? What has higher value? Life or taste?” and that was it for me. The animals we love and the animals we eat are both capable of suffering in the exact same way. I love animals and I hope to own a farm someday where I can bask in the presence of animals all day long!

Ms. Namita Nayyar

What comprises your fitness regime? Your forever favorite target areas?

Ms. Malvika Sitlani

I work out thrice a week, I have a personal trainer that has been with me for years now. It always helps to have someone pushing you to do your best!

My favourite body part to work out is Legs and Glutes! Especially functional – I love a good challenge and push really hard when I need to.

Through the week, we break it down to Upper body which includes back, chest, biceps etc…also TRX which stands for Total Body Resistance Exercise, it’s a workout method that uses your body weight and gravity as resistance to build strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, core and joint stability. Functional, Cardio + abs! phew! I can feel it already!

Ms. Namita Nayyar

Being our cover girl, you are an inspiration to our readers, what message you would like to share for our women readers on being independent irrespective of their family situation.

Ms. Malvika Sitlani

One of the most valuable lessons my mom taught me was to be financially independent & I cannot tell you how much that changed me in my growing years. As a young woman, being fiercely independent is something my mom knew very well. Today I can say that I’m at a stage where I don’t need anybody to take care of me & as a woman, that is such an irreplaceable feeling. If you want to live without being answerable to anyone, work or build something that you can call your OWN. You need to be able to stand on your own feet irrespective of anyone being present in your life or not. Nobody should be paying for your lifestyle, but you! Having financially freedom must be every woman’s ultimate goal. On a dark rainy day, you need to be your own safety net.

Ms. Namita Nayyar

Today you are an entrepreneur, digital content creator, wife, daughter, sister, tell us which role do you enjoy the most? One piece of advice if you could give to your younger self what would it be?

Ms. Malvika Sitlani

I love being a daughter! Daughters are so so special. I have the best relationship with my mother and it is something I will always hold close to my heart. I instantly become a child when I’m with my mom and that’s truly beautiful. Having said that, I love all the roles I get to be in, I’m so blessed to have such an amazing support system around me.

A piece of advice to my younger self would be that, it’s going to be okay in the end. Drop the anger, embrace the failures that are going to come your way,you will win some and lose a lot more, but it’s going to be a great journey. Keep God close to your heart & have faith.

Ms.Namita Nayyar:

You have been part of reality shows in past, do you ever plan to be part of the industry again?

Ms. Malvika Sitlani:

Yes, I have! And while it was fun and an interesting experience, I don’t think I’d want to go back to reality shows simply because it can get quite dramatic! However, I’d love to look at some acting opportunities. It has always been this untapped dream of mine to show up on the big screen. Maybe, someday!

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Lastly your thoughts on Women Fitness India Magazine, and the importance of fitness in a women’s life?

Ms. Malvika Sitlani:

I think having a platform where one can read about other people’s journeys is empowering! You know you’re not alone when you have a community. And Women Fitness magazine has been that for so many people today. So, thank you for continuing to inspire women! To all my women, if going to the gym is not your thing, try and take a walk every day. Including small movements daily can be life-changing to your health! Please don’t be sitting in one place the entire day. Get up and get moving whether it is stretching, pilates, yoga, spinning or walking – do it every other day and do it for your future self! Your body will thank you!
