Maulika Sharma is a certified personal trainer, sports nutritionist, and exercise recovery specialist. She’s been helping people from all areas of life improve their fitness as well as cure lifestyle-based diseases.

She’s also extremely passionate about MMA and won her first fight last year. She’s been working on improving her combat skill ever since.

You are an Instagram Model and a famous Certified Fitness Trainer and Nutritionist. How would you define yourself to your audience/followers?

Ms. Maulika Sharma

Yes, so basically ever since I started this page I wanted to portray myself in the most authentic way. We are often left in awe of social media and how everything is so perfect. I didn’t want to portray the same, I wanted to show the real me to the world, talk about mental and physical wellness and connect with people more on fitness and mental health.

Interest in Fitness happened to you at a very young age. Please share the series of events that led to a life-changing journey into the health and fitness industry. What motivated you to learn more about nutrition and our body?

Ms. Maulika Sharma

Growing up I was very confused as to what I wanted to do, while I was young everyone around me was very sorted as to what they wanted to do but I never felt any passion towards anything until I began my fitness journey, which also started very randomly. I felt that yes this is something I want to do and pursue, also along the way I started consultation for nutrition and wellbeing which also became part of my work.

Please share your daily fitness routine. How do you like to kick start your day? How do you manage your training schedule?

Ms. Maulika Sharma

So, my mornings start with my 6 am client, post that I see a lot of people coming and training which itself acts as my coffee, and yes I do have my coffee too after that!

Post that I come back and do some desk work that includes brand deals and stuff like that and after that, I have my evening clients along with which I end my day!

According to you what are the 5 myths that need to be busted to achieve a toned body?

Ms. Maulika Sharma

So, 1> That you should eat very little, that’s absolutely wrong!

2> One should have a flat stomach and a smaller waist, which is not right when judging fitness, you may have a small waist but not a strong core!

3> Thirdly it would be that lifting weights makes you look bulkier, it also depends on what you are eating and how you are managing your diet

4> Another one would be that playing sports or doing yoga is enough for your fitness, no matter how healthy this is, it is at the same time not enough and you need to have a proper fitness routine to achieve your fitness goals

5> Lastly calorie defining foods, is not the right way to practice weight management it totally depends on portion control and meal planning.

According to you what should a healthy breakfast meal be like when trying to a) lose weight b) maintain a healthy weight c) gain muscle mass? Please answer accordingly.

, if you are trying to lose weight, I think you should focus on having a healthy and balanced breakfast, I personally feel that weight loss is more related to maintaining your diet and meals rather than eating specific foods, however, when trying to gain muscles you can have more sugar and fruits!

The best part about my skincare and haircare is sweating it out! Sweating it out makes your skin glow. Besides that having a nutritious diet with vitamins and antioxidants are very important, also recently I started having these gummies which help in collagen building and are very helpful

I think the best compliment I ever received would be “that you have changed my life”, I have helped a lot of people lose weight which in turn has changed their standard of living and they are able to do things like traveling, trekking, etc.

The reason for my username is simply the urge to get abs. Like everyone else who wishes or dreams to have abs, and I started to think about it at the 16, though the Instagram page came in much later the thought remained the same and hence the name!

Significance of stretching? 5 stretches every woman over 40 must do every day?

Ms.Maulika Sharma

Stretching is very important! I can’t stress enough especially as you age your muscles become stiffer.

I would suggest stretching your whole body focusing more on your back, glutes, and thighs, both stretching post-workout and in general, are very important!
