Namita Nayyar:

Naila you have been in the industry, and part of some amazing projects, tell us about your journey and how you decided to be an actor.

Naila Grrewal

Growing up in Delhi, my formative years were steeped in a rich tapestry of academic rigor and artistic exploration. I completed my education at The British School and then went on to pursue an undergraduate degree at Lady Shri Ram College For Women, Delhi University followed by my postgraduation from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication.
While I always gravitated towards dance and theatre since I was 4 or 5 years old, the decision to pursue acting as a full-fledged professional was less of a conscious choice and more of an accidental encounter with destiny. My experience in Tamasha served as the catalyst, igniting a passion for performing in front of the camera like never before. The magic of being on set, surrounded by the hustle-bustle, the electric energy of fellow creatives, and the intoxicating thrill of embodying a character in front of a magnificent moving camera became an irresistible pull for me. From that moment on, there was no looking back.

Namita Nayyar:

Your recent show on Netflix Maamla Legal Hai, had great appreciation from the audience, and season 2 is on its way, tell us about your experience working with Ravi Kishan and more.

Naila Grrewal

Well, the immense love pouring in for Maamla Legal Hai is heart-warming and reassuring! Working with Ravi sir on the sets of Maamla Legal Hai was an invaluable learning experience for me. My very first interaction with him was for a table read wherein he came in with childlike enthusiasm! – he was so excited to create and collaborate that it gave me the extra push to add more to my character and script. From his unwavering dedication to his infectious enthusiasm (and of course, his quirky one-liners) every moment was a collaborative masterclass in itself.

Namita Nayyar:

You are also part of Ishq Vishk Rebound, how did you decide to be part of the iconic movie and tell us about the film?

Naila Grrewal

I’m extremely excited about Ishq Vishk Rebound. It’s bound to bring a wave of nostalgia and excitement to the audience. It’s an opportunity to revisit the beloved characters and storyline that captured hearts all those years ago. With the promise of new twists and turns, along with the same charm that made the original film a hit, “Ishq Vishk Rebound” is sure to be a special treat for audiences. Collaborating with my co-actors, Rohit Saraf, Pashmina Roshan, and Jibraan Khan has been like embarking on a ride of nostalgia and newfound adventures. Each co-actor brought their unique flair to the table, infusing the set with energy and camaraderie that was simply infectious!

Namita Nayyar:

Women Fitness India talks about celebrity diets and fitness regimes, do you follow any special diet? What is your favorite snack when on sets?

Naila Grrewal

I don’t adhere to any strict diet regimen, but I do make an effort to eat wholesome and balanced meals whenever possible. On set, amidst the hustle and bustle, my favorite go-to snack is a simple yet satisfying combination of fresh fruits, nuts, and makhanas. It keeps me energized and focused throughout long shooting days, while also satisfying my cravings. Sometimes, a little indulgence in dark chocolate or a homemade trail mix does the trick too! It’s all about finding the right balance between nourishment and enjoyment to keep me going strong on set.

Namita Nayyar:

What is your fitness routine? Do you practice meditation and yoga as well?

Naila Grrewal

My fitness routine is all about finding joy in movement and nurturing both body and mind. Gym sessions and dance workouts are my mainstays, to keep me feeling strong and energized. As for meditation and yoga, I admire their benefits, and I find my peace and mindfulness through activities like walks by the sea or simply taking moments to breathe and reflect amidst the chaos of life. For me, it’s less about sticking to a rigid routine and more about embracing activities that resonate with my soul and leave me feeling grounded and revitalized.

Namita Nayyar:
