Instagram being her strength at more than 345k followers, she has taken her love for high street fashion to another level with hands-on practical hacks under the hashtags #NMRethinks and #hacksbyniki.

Ms. Niki Mehra:

Well, the journey has been overwhelming and rewarding, to say the least. From my point A of being an economics student who quit her job to pursue her fashion dreams at a time when my family and friends had their inhibitions about my choice to reaching Point B, of being a successful woman fashion entrepreneur, this road has taught me how to trust my instinct, self-love and confidence and power of my dreams.

You have been in the industry for six years, how has it helped you evolve personally & professionally?

Ms. Niki Mehra:

The industry definitely makes you stronger both personally and professionally. Soon after I started blogging, I went through a very rough relationship and I was diagnosed with borderline depression and anxiety. At that time, my passion for this career kept me going. I dove into building my dreams and I can proudly say, I feel stronger and independent, both emotionally and financially.

Professionally, of course, it’s taught me a lot but my favorite takeaway would be the realization that I am a one wo(man) army.

Your say on sustainable fashion? Share 5 wardrobe tips for festivity.

Ms. Niki Mehra:

I am big on sustainable fashion which is evident from my two highly acclaimed and loved Instagram series #hacksbyniki and #NMRethinks where we help our viewers find all their wardrobe solutions by recycling their existing wardrobe. My top festive wardrobe tips this year would be to invest in simple yet elegant pieces because our gatherings are going to be smaller. So invest in suits, simple sarees, pastel colors, statement jewelry so that you can amp up your outfit whenever you want.

As a fashion influencer, what are we going to see in the year 2021 coming to dominant colour & clothing

Ms.Niki Mehra:

 I think 2021 is going to be all things OTT in terms of clothing. People have had a lot of time to reinvent their fashion taste and I think it’s going to show. In terms of colour, I am always drawn to neutrals and pastels, so we’ll have to see if 2021 agrees.

Ms. Niki Mehra:

I am a big advocate for listening to your body and being gentle with it because it responds. I am a big foodie so I eat clean but I don’t starve myself and I definitely treat my body to some cheat meals. My general diet is high on protein and low on carbs but my cheats involve some of my favourite Chinese and Indian dishes. In terms of foods I avoid, I have cut down on my intake of sugar in every form

Ms. Niki Mehra:

I have suffered from acne most of my adult life and luckily now each day, I am a step closer to clearer, glowing skin. I always tell my viewers, with skincare less is always more. Aloe vera, honey, turmeric, lemon, and ice are the home ingredients I can swear by.

  Your fitness regime? What regime do you follow when traveling

Ms. Niki Mehra:

My fitness regime involves both physical workouts and eating right. While travelling when it’s tough to squeeze in a workout everyday, I make sure I check my proportions of food.

You are going to be a bride, share some tips for new brides on how to plan their trousseau

Ms. Niki Mehra:

Yes, and I am so excited for my big day! For all the bride-to-bes, I would recommend smart trousseau shopping: buy limited indian pieces because trends change quickly and all of us can only repeat our outfits so much. Keep tabs on exhibitions and designer sales and keep your trousseau a mix of designer wear and some made to order pieces from your trusted boutiques.

 Lastly, what message would you like to share for our viewers on how important do you feel is it for women to be mentally and physically fit 

Ms. Niki Mehra:

We as women maintain balance within our houses and I can proudly say , we are what holds the family together. Even in our professional lives, the most successful people I know are women entrepreneurs.

The most successful leaders in the world are women leaders. And there is one thing that’s definitely common amongst them: they are strong-willed, they know what they want, they love themselves enough to take care of their mental and physical health.

Tips for balancing life on personal & professional front.

Ms.Niki Mehra:

Sid ( my fiancé ) and I, set a rule very early on in the relationship: we do not bring work back home. We definitely discuss our achievements or roadblocks, but we value our time together to not let our ambitions get in the way. Similarly, when we are at work, we give our dreams priority, and our personal life waits until the end of the day.
