Parul Gulati On Web Series, Nishhair & More

Parul Gulati is an Indian actress who has appeared in several Punjabi films. She is a trained actor who has studied at Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. In Gulati appeared in the TV series P.O.W.- Bandi Yuddh Ke, and Haq Se Web Series – An adaptation of Little Women

In addition to acting in films, Parul has endorsed multiple brands and products and has her own line of Human Hair Extensions by the name of Nishhair.

Women Fitness team catches up with her journey, fitness, diet, beauty in a candid conversation!

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

 Parul, today you are an actor and entrepreneur and a perfect example of the modern independent woman, tell us how did your journey with acting and modelling began

Ms. Parul Gulati:

 I was a clueless teenager who on one fine day received a message on Facebook , it was for an audition for a TV Show, for which I came down to Mumbai and never went back. The rest is history.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You run own hair extension brand as Nishhair, tell us the idea behind it and how you manage it with your  acting career

Ms. Parul Gulati:

I was very clear that I wanted to have my own brand or my own company of sorts, and after a lot of time and thinking, it was clear to me that it would be hair extensions. And yes, I’ve always been very impulsive. One day, I decided that I wanted to start it right then and there. I did a little prep and jumped right in. It is taxing, managing both my job and my firm. But love for them is what keeps me going and I’m doing my best to take Nish Hair as far as possible.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You have worked on various Netflix web series, tell us do you feel that ott platform is the next big thing

Ms. Parul Gulati:

The OTT platform “IS” the big thing and the next big thing would be A. I & Virtual reality, where none of us actors would be required. But web series have changed my life for sure. I now have a lot more work and a lot more characters to experiment with. And I hope big filmmakers from Bollywood keep on creating more shows which I can hopefully be a part of.

Women Fitness India talks about celebrity diets, do you follow any special diet . 5 favourite cheat meals

Ms. Parul Gulati:

I do not follow any strict diets, but I do try to eat clean at times. And oh, I’m all about cheat meals! –  Chaat is my favourite! Fries, fried momos, burgers & pizzas. If I had the chance, I’d eat all of this everyday of the week!

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

How many times do your workout in a week? Your favourite target areas during your training

Ms. Parul Gulati:

 I work out 5 times a week. I really don’t have a choice but to work out regularly since I eat almost everything under the sun, even though I’m vegetarian.  My favorite target areas are my shoulders and glutes

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You seem to have a perfect aesthetic Instagram, share 4 tips to click a perfect photograph

Ms. Parul Gulati:

Thank you! Knowing what works for you and your angles is extremely important. I don’t know if I’m the best one to give any professional tips but here are some things I try – Keeping it real & candid, catch the right sunlight because that’s better than any artificial filter and shoot from low angles because that makes you look tall & the background vast.

 Since you own a hair extension brand, 6 tips you would like to share on how to maintain one’s natural tresses

Ms. Parul Gulati:

Use a silk pillowcase because that’s life-changing, get regular trims, avoid bleaching your hair, pre-shampoo oiling, do not wash your hair every day & yes, wear Nish hair extensions! 😛

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Favorite part about your job? Also your upcoming projects and goals for 2021

Ms. Parul Gulati:

The most favorite part of my job is meeting so many different people! It’s so nice to talk to people who do different things and you learn so much from everyone. As per my upcoming projects, the most important one is Girls Hostel 2.0 which will be releasing soon! My goals for 2021 would be to travel and work a lot, especially since last year it was just the opposite.

Lastly message for our readers on how important is physical fitness and active lifestyle for the women

Ms.Parul Gulati:

It is supremely important that we take care of our bodies. This is what 2020 has taught me and it’s all that we have, nothing else really matters. Being active & focusing on our physical and mental fitness are the things that can really help us in the long run!
