For all her fans out there, Women Fitness India recently had the wonderful chance to chat with the stunning actress about her life, reality shows, and much more

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Ridhima, you started your journey with modeling, theatre, and went on to become a household name with your acting debut on the small screen as Rajini, how would you describe your journey?  The role you enjoyed the most?

Ms. Ridhima Pandit:

It has to be Rajini my first-ever television show bahu humare rajinikanth where I play a humanoid. It was a very unique and a different character to play and like I say I had started off my acting career as a part-time Junkie flunky that’s what you call it with theatre. And it has been quite a journey filled with a lot of struggles and hustling to do but I just every time you know, I get a bit bogged down. I always Say that did I even ever imagined that I would be reaching where I am today? So yes, every day is a blessing and I’m happy that I get to do exactly what I wished to all my life

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You have been part of reality shows like Fear Factor,  a host on dancing reality show Dance champions. What do you find most exciting fiction or non-fiction? Any plan to participate in reality shows like Bigg Boss

Ms. Ridhima Pandit:

I find non fiction quite exciting because like they say reality. I mean, it’s all happening on the go. During Khatron Ki Khiladi and I did those challenges which were thrown my way so you don’t know what’s coming next and there is excitement.

It’s nothing planned, but I also enjoyed hosting because I really like to communicate with the audiences directly. So that’s one great platform for doing so and I remember working with Raghav. It was like a madhouse lot of fun but fiction, the kind of Fame that fiction also gets you to become like an everyday person going to someone’s television set if they switch it on your there. So yes of course both are actually my favorite. I don’t know what to say, big boss, I’ve spoken to them since the time. I’ve joined the industry, but I don’t know I do get cold feet every time. It’s from my most favorite shows. So like I said never say never you never know.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Women Fitness talks about fitness and celebrity diets, share more input on the diet you follow? The most impressive dish you ever had? You like to kick start your day with.

Ms. Ridhima Pandit:

I don’t follow a diet that’s because up until a year ago to definitely I was blessed with the best metabolism, but it has been compromised now, I do feel special in this lockdown I did gain quite a few kgs. I’m very new to this diet part. So I’ve still not started but I believe in having home-cooked food as much as possible and just control your cheat days in sure you’re not eating junk.

The most impressive dish I ever had, has to be the salmon at Indigo the way they make it, I quite like it then I’ve made it by myself. So I think I was quite impressed by myself. I made it the exact way I like to kick start my day with a cup of black coffee according to you

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

According to you “It’s important for an actor to be fit as we need to look good all the time.” Share with us your daily fitness regime? How do you balance it with your shootings. 4 Best indoor exercises that work for you

Ms. Ridhima Pandit:

I work out my trainer trains me on Whatsapp video call now because the times are so uncertain and I don’t think I’m ready to go to a gym yet. So I do high-intensity training. I have my equipment. Not too many. Have a few dumbells and resistance bands.

I want to start cycling again. Also, I think cycling and swimming are the best full-body exercises. How do I balance it with my shootings, so the best indoor exercises that work for me is that I lay down my mat and I do a lot of these Superman exercises That’s like a very good stretch for your whole body. I do different kinds of planks. I do push-ups and I do a lot of jumping jacks.

These are amazing things to do wherever you are, and when I’m shooting well, yes my fitness stuff suffers a lot because I’m shooting like crazy hours when I shoot plus not to forget the travel to our location. So definitely my fitness goes for a toss, but I ensure that between my assignments. I am always forever ready and in my best shape to take on new assignments and then slowly so it kind of starts to wear off. So then I start working out at home again, but yes, of course, I’m quite lazy.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Your best-kept skincare & haircare secrets? Favorite skincare brands that actually work

Ms. Ridhima Pandit:

I have started taking a lot of care now earlier in my teenagers or even in my college days, I have never had the problem of acne. I’ve had like great skin, but surprisingly now, I am getting acne, which is so strange, but that’s also because your hormones keep changing for a woman especially they’re always changing and now I ensure that I get my clean-ups done regularly. I try and take less stress as much as possible, but that’s a part and parcel of our lives. So I think the best kept skincare for me is just have a happy mind like they say its very cliché beautiful inside beautiful outside is what I believe in. I used to have such beautiful hair, but the Perils of our profession had to keep trimming them off and now I’m at a very short length.

So I take at most extreme care of my hair. I take my vitamins when it comes to my hair and skin I go try and go for a regular hair spa or any hair treatment that’s going to make my hair smooth. if you had the choice, I mean we don’t in our profession, but the ones who do you must absolutely not touch them until and unless you have an occasion to step out.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

2021 is just round the corner, share your plans for the upcoming new year.

Ms.Ridhima Pandit:

So one thing that 2020 has taught me is do not have any plans because having plans doesn’t make sense. Look how 2020 panned out for all of us. So I don’t really have any plans. I’m just grateful that I will be spending my New Year’s with my family and I will be in Mumbai. I don’t wish to travel keeping the current scenario on mind. But yeah friends and Family, I’m going to be spending it with

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Coming from a Gujarati family, share 5 foods you love to feast on?

Ms. Ridhima Pandit:

I love to eat Dhokla,Dal dhokli, kichu and Gujarati Curry by my mom!

Define mental fitness according to you and why its important

Ms. Ridhima Pandit:

Mental Fitness is the most important. I mean in my way of looking at things, I think if you’re not mentally fit you’re not able to give your best and be productive or focus on the things that really matter so mental Fitness for me is of utmost importance and I’ve realized that more so in the past two years.

Why it’s important is also because like I said, it helps you focus on everything around you and how I like to keep it going, I wish I could lie and tell you all that. I meditate I can’t I kind of have tried to do it but, I can’t get myself to do it the part of getting to meditation is very tough for me. I’ve downloaded a few apps which really helped me, sleep. Well, they help me calm down. There’s some soothing music that plays I listen to very interesting podcasts something that inspires me. I try and take up a course. That’s how my journey for mental Fitness is that I ensure that I’m constantly keeping my mind going, you know at no point do I sit idle.
