Ms. Sara Khan:

It’s been a beautiful, inspirational journey. And if I may say, it was magical. I rose to overnight fame at such a young age when I landed the lead role in Bidaai. Experiencing fame like that when you’re that young teaches you a lot of things. Now that I look back, I feel grateful for everything that came my way, and I’m grateful for where I am, and I’m looking forward to doing more amazing projects.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

As an actor, you had many versatile choices, which role did you enjoy the most and why

Ms. Sara Khan

I thoroughly enjoyed playing the role of Mona in the TV show Preet Se Bandhi Ye Dori Ram Milaayi Jodi. I can really relate to the character as she is blunt and care-free like me. She’d say anything, anywhere, without giving it a second thought

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

As an actor Physical fitness is a very important part of your everyday regime, tell us your favorite form of workout

Ms. Sara Khan:

I love gymnastics. It helps one stay fit and improves flexibility while toning the entire body.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You have flawless skin, share any 3 skincare rituals you swear by

Ms.Sara Khan

I believe that less is more. I don’t like to use too many products on my skin, as I feel like that’s how one gets clogged pores. I believe in Cleansing-Toning-Moisturising, and using home-made face-packs once a week.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

You recently talked about going through depression and how the industry still judges you on your past choices, do you think that mental health is still something that people need to discuss more openly especially in the entertainment industry

Ms. Sara Khan:

With rising competition, there’s a rise of expectations, and with a rise of expectations, there comes a lot of judgment towards oneself and by others. We actors are expected to be perfect 24/7, and that’s close to impossible. I think people need to understand that we actors are humans too. And not being judged for petty things will be a huge load off our chest too. At least we actors then don’t have to interact with media like we’re walking on eggshells and live our lives as we want to.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Due to the pandemic outbreak, all industries have been affected including the entertainment industry, your take on the same

Ms. Sara Khan:

Yes, the pandemic has definitely brought most industries to a screeching halt. But looking on the brighter side, the lockdown has given us all, as individuals, time to reflect on ourselves and polish our skills as well. Talking about various industries, I see a lot of things changing after the lockdown. Things will get stronger digitally, and ways of working may change for the greater good.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Do you follow any particular diet, What are your favorite cheat meals

Ms. Sara Khan:

I don’t believe in diets. But I do believe in eating clean. I think that if one has a desire to eat clean and healthy that comes from self-love, there’s no need to ‘cheat’.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

With Lockdown almost coming to end, what are your upcoming future projects and plans?

Ms. Sara Khan:

I wish to begin shooting once again. I’m working on a web series, and before the lockdown, I had plans to do live concerts, but I’m not sure when I can do that anymore, as social distancing has become a real thing- and will persist for a long time.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Lastly, what message you would like to give to your 1.3M followers on your Instagram account @ssarakhan who love you and look upon you as an inspiration?

Ms. Sara Khan:

I’d advise everyone to be kinder to each other. It’s what the world needs right now.  And to not compare oneself to others, as that only leads to disappointment. Also, I want people to know that what one sees on social media may not always be the reality. So, never judge by pictures, sometimes reality can be very different. Everyone is fighting their own battles, and ‘Perfect Life’ is nothing but a lie. So, embrace what you have, be grateful, and be happy with what you have.
