Seerat Kapoor On Doing Imlie, Fitness, And More!

Seerat Kapoor, who made her Hindi TV show debut with Imlie is loved by the audience for the portrayal of Cheeni.

She gets in a conversation with Women Fitness India, about her journey into acting, her recent role, and future projects.

Seerat, you started your acting career with your recent venture in Imilie, tell us about your journey and how did you decide to be an actor?

Ms. Seerat Kapoor

I have started my journey from Imlie and it is a big break for me. Used to do modeling and Ads when I was 5 but then stopped due to studies. I am a huge TV serial buff so after my 12th decided to pursue Bcom from Mithibai College Mumbai where I did theatre for 3 years and gave auditions for shows, films, and almost everything for 5 years after which I got this break. I did a cameo in the film Jersey starring Shahid Kapoor. But my hard work and persistence paid off when I got Imlie.

How was your experience working on the show, your favorite memory from the set? What are the future projects you looking at?

Ms. Seerat Kapoor

I am having the best time working on the set of Imlie. I feel blessed that I get to work with such amazing, talented, and positive people. Literally everyone is always teaching me something or the other and I love to be a student.
I make a new favorite memory every single day here. I love when the whole family sits together to rehearse, make a reel, or just hang out. We never stay in our own rooms rather just sit in one place and talk.
I am hoping to grow as an actor within Imlie by playing Chini in a constantly evolving manner. Also would love to play more candid and realistic roles in a web show or a film.

Women Fitness India talks about celebrity diets and fitness regimes, do you follow any special diets? What is your favorite cuisine?

Ms. Seerat Kapoor

Following a wholesome diet is a part of a healthy lifestyle. It should be a part of everyone’s routine, actor or not. I just try to keep my diet balanced and homemade. Cheat days are a must too, but portion control keeps everything in check. My favorite cuisine is desi Indian (Punjabi) as I can have that every day without getting bored.

Being an actor how do you manage your fitness routine? Your favorite time to work out?

Ms. Seerat Kapoor

It is difficult to manage the fitness routine while shooting. I am still getting the hang of it. I start to build my fitness habit with Yoga and then slowly move on to walking and then working out. My favorite time to work out is in the morning as I feel energetic and enthusiastic.

By following a balanced homemade diet and even basic exercising I have lost 8-10 kgs since I started Imlie which is in about 5-6 months.

What are your upcoming future projects and message for your fans?

Ms. Seerat Kapoor

I am looking for a project that gives me creative satisfaction, be it a small role or lead role, be it a web show or a film. I want to say to everyone who admires my work that I wouldn’t have come this far if I didn’t have my family so whatever you do keep your loved ones close, they are your strength.

Lastly, how do you keep up with your mental health along with physical wellness?

Ms. Seerat Kapoor

As I just said, maintaining mental health in this super competitive world is difficult but your strength and your family can get you through every tough time and eventually, your persistence will pay off. Have faith and never give up.
