Suhasi Dhami On Her Journey & Family Support.

Suhasi Dhami is an Indian actress and model. She is known for portraying Abha in Yahaaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli and for double roles as Vedika Mathur and Vedika Pratab in Aap Ke Aa Jane Se.

In 2012, she participated as a contestant in Nach Baliye 5 alongside her husband Jaisheel Dhami, where she finished as the second runner-up of the show. In June 2014, she joined the mythological series Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev on Life OK as Goddess Parvati alongside Mohit Raina.

Namita Nayyar:

 Suhasi you have been in the entertainment industry for almost a decade, tell us how did your journey begin, did you always want to be an actor?

Suhasi Dhami:

I was never inclined towards acting but I was part of curricular activities like dancing and theatre, something or the other, and during my college days I did a few photoshoots and that led to me giving a few auditions, and eventually, I started getting a few advertisements and small roles, I kept working hard and eventually landed a role in the television industry.

Namita Nayyar:

You have been part of fiction shows and reality shows in the industry, do you ever plan to try reality shows like Bigg boss? Your so far best experience as an actor

Suhasi Dhami:

Hats off to the ones who have the guts to go for shoes like BB. I am too shy to be a part of shows like that.
The best experience would be Yahaan main Ghar Ghar kheli.

Namita Nayyar:

Women Fitness India talks about celebrity diets and fitness routines, do you follow any special diets? Your favorite cuisine?

Suhasi Dhami

I definitely believe health should be the utmost priority. I have switched to Ayurveda and I am loving it. I believe EAT ONLY WHEN HUNGRY. I make sure I do some form of exercise at least 5 days a week.
I lovee Italian cuisine

Namita Nayyar:

What comprises your fitness regime, how did you manage to get back in shape post-pregnancy do share tips for new moms?

Suhasi Dhami:

I would say to the new moms, don’t rush to get back to shape. Take your own time. 2 years should be good.

Namita Nayyar:

 Being a mom and an actor, how do you manage both the roles

Suhasi Dhami

Well, the good support system is really crucial. My mother-in-law, mother, husband, and helper are extremely efficient. This makes life easy.

Namita Nayyar:

Being a trained classical dancer, how do you keep up with the practices?

Suhasi Dhami

I have not done Bharat Natyam for a while. But I keep on learning some other forms like hip hop or kathak.

Namita Nayyar:

Along with physical fitness, mental health is also important, how do you manage your mental wellbeing

Suhasi Dhami:

I read a lot of books and listen to some good orators. It releases a lot of stress and tension.

Namita Nayyar:

Lastly message for our readers on why it’s important for women to be physically and mentally fit irrespective of their age!

Suhasi Dhami:

I believe mental and physical health has nothing to do with age. It is required for each and every human being. If you are happy, you can make others happy too. It’s a small life. ENJOY
