Women Fitness India gets in a candid chat with Tanya Sharma on her journey and future goals!

Ms. Namita Nayyar

Tanya, you started your journey in 2011, today after being in the industry for over a decade, how would you define your journey as? And was being an actor your dream?

Ms. Tanya Sharma

The first show I did when I was a child was Afsar Bitiya in 2011, and I have been working ever since then. The journey has taken me over a decade, and it’s been a beautiful one. Of course, I have come from 0 to where I am now. When you come from the ground up, you understand the value of success when it comes to yourself, and that’s how I will describe my journey. it has been very fruitful all the hard work I was putting in all years I got the results and by the result I mean the tremendous amount of love from the audience and I that now I am a known face. 

 I Have worked very hard to make a place in this industry, its a  very very competitive industry and I just feel that it has been a beautiful journey and I love every bit of it even the disappointments because all the disappointments made me work harder and there was always this hope, I have missed out few big opportunities but I have always been positive that maybe it’s for the good and I had that hope that it’s gonna be better the next time and it did. I am still working in this industry for over a decade and I am very very very proud of my journey from where I come. I never wanted to be an actor since childhood, I Always wanted to become a businesswoman. My journey in this industry began so naturally and effortlessly that I knew that God gave me an opportunity and I have to put all my efforts and hard work that I did and now I can say that I am living the dream.

You have been part of fiction television series, would you be interested in exploring reality shows? What is your favorite genre?

Ms. Tanya Sharma

I have been a part of lots of friction shows and but when I was young I was a part of this reality
show called John Aur Kaun, I was representing Mumbai and it was a very big thing. it was telecasted on the Hungama channel and the excitement of the competition was inexplicable. I still remember I loved the experience.
I would love to be a part of a dancing reality show like Jhalak Dhiklaja or Nach baliye or anything which involves dancing because I am very passionate about it. Maybe in the future, a dancing reality show would be a great thing for me. In dancing my favorite genre would be contemporary I am I love soulful songs and I love how contemporary really can help you express your emotions so that would be my favorite thing.

Besides acting, you also have your YouTube channel with your sister, tell us more about it.

Two and a Half years back my sister and I started a YouTube channel after a lot of thinking
because we both were busy with our respective projects. But soon we started, during our initial
stage, it was a bit difficult, as YouTube can be very brutal, It is not like any other social media, if
you put content out there and if it is worthy only then does it get recognized and thankfully, we are
so grateful that we are touching 3 million in two and a half years. People accepted us initially, it was a tough ride for both of us everybody thought that we are acting it out but it’s not like that, we are very expressive as people.

And through our channel, we were able to connect with our audience. Living our dream and trying to make our audience happy and get that smile on their face while showing our sister thing like relatability. We started off putting up a lot of challenges (Videos)and that really work for us we called a few celebrity friends And that is how it kicked off but the first viral video was the dance video we both are trained dancers and when that video went viral our subscribers number increased day by day. We were really happy and that’s when we decided that every month we would make sure that we give them a dancing
the video which they really like. I would like to share a very small instance when we were out in
Uttarakhand and a very young girl came up to us and said

Women Fitness India talks about celebrity diets and fitness routines, do you follow any special diet? What are your favorite midnight snacks?

Ms. Tanya Sharma

Honestly, I am not that kind of a person who would follow a diet but my fitness secret would be something which involves dancing because I am very passionate about dancing and I don’t do gyming at all. My workout would be a nice session of dance workout and it works for my body. Everybody has a different kind of body and for me, if I dance every day I am able to maintain it and the diet Part I started intermittent fasting. I don’t eat after 7-8 in the evening and in the morning I have my breakfast it helps in my shooting schedule also the shooting hours are so toxic that I don’t get time to go to the gym. So intermittent fasting and dancing really work for my body and this is how I am lean. My favorite midnight snack would be oats maggie and flavored makhana all this is not super healthy but it works for me while I binge on Netflix

What comprises your fitness regime? How do you manage to stay fit with your intensive work schedules?

Ms. Tanya Sharma

Usually, I headed out for work around 9 so when I don’t have an early call time I do try to make it to the gym sometimes, but that’s very occasionally. like I said that everybody is different and for me, if I work out twice a week also except for the dancing part, it keeps my body toned, and the work schedules are really really really very taxing and if it doesn’t allow me to workout every day so dancing helps me that way.

Social media is both Boone and bane, how do you keep up with the negative side of social media including trolling and negative comments

Ms. Tanya Sharma

When I joined Instagram I was doing shows and everything and I understand people do have their opinion. I won’t say that I was never affected by that, I definitely was but I chose to ignore the negative part because once you let that get into your head then it affects your work, and once it starts affecting your work done everything is finished for me so I would ignore everything which would hamper my work. Whenever there was a negative comment I used to read it but I would silently delete or ignore but if it is a very insightful critique, I would take criticism if it is right and has a scope of improvement for me but it has to be valid wherein you know there is something to it and just not bad mouthing and just trolling. I never appreciate trolling, I try to maintain peace, and because I don’t want any negativity about my name so I try to solve it, and mostly it because that’s how you can live in peace

Ms.Namita Nayyar:

Having achieved so much at a young age, what are your future goals and plans for the year?

Ms. Tanya Sharma:

I want to believe that we keep growing in life. There is never a point where one will feel that okay I have achieved everything I don’t want anything. As humans, we strive for more and more and more and as an actor, you have so much scope of really dreaming and up your game, you keep on changing your goal after a particular project you want to do a better one with the better production, a better role with a better director that’s the normal process in an actor’s life and the same for me, luckily I have received a lot of admiration at such a young age. I wish that people keep loving my work and I keep working hard. Everybody likes when they are appreciated for their work and I always want to grow even if it’s like o.1% but I want to keep growing in life till I am working  in any field even if they not into this industry after 10 years but I want to keep growing in my field and that’s all I aim for and my future goals-  you right now I am doing a TV show on Colours and after this, I am planning on to try and look for some web series projects and hopefully some nice project with the dream rule and then you can see me in it
