No doubt, pregnancy is a beautiful phase yet a roller coaster ride with ups and downs for the mom-to-be. As every mother-to-be is concerned about entering motherhood, the challenges they will face, and how they will deal with them, as well as other stressors that will eventually lead to Maternal mental health problems, which have become a growing concern nowadays.

Common symptoms of Maternal Mental Health

Furthermore, some common symptoms of maternal mental health problems include persistent sadness, anxiety, difficulty sleeping, loss of interest in activities, changes in appetite, and so on. If these symptoms persist for more than two weeks, it is critical to seek professional assistance.

The risk of mental health issues also increases as a result of hormonal changes, stress, a lack of support, and previous mental health issues, affecting both mom and baby. These factors can result in preterm depression, postpartum depression, premature delivery, and other complications.

Garbh Sanskar is an ancient Indian way of teaching good things to the unborn baby during pregnancy. As per science, it has been proven that 60% of a baby’s brain development happens inside the womb.

Ultimately, prioritizing maternal mental health throughout pregnancy and the postpartum period is of utmost importance as it can have a major effect on the mother as well as the infant’s development and long-term health outcomes.
