This International Yoga Day, we reflect not just on asanas but on yoga’s deeper essence—its ability to ground us, guide us, and reconnect us with ourselves. In conversation with Saurabh Bothra, CoFounder of Habuild, India’s first habit-building wellness platform, we uncovered a refreshing, collective approach to yoga that feels more relevant than ever.
To Saurabh, International Yoga Day is not about grandeur but shared humanity. “Yoga is a shared human practice, transcending boundaries,” he tells us. “As a practitioner, it renews my inner journey. As a teacher, it’s humbling to witness people from all walks of life come together in stillness, breath, and movement.”
And come together they have. At Habuild, thousands have joined his 21-day online yoga journeys—some as young as 3, others as wise as 91. Despite being virtual, these sessions are deeply personal and emotionally transformative. “People join for fitness but stay for mental clarity and peace,” he shares. “The screen doesn’t dilute connection—it amplifies inclusivity.”
As women navigating the demands of home, work, and wellness, we often wonder how to stay centered amid chaos. Saurabh offers a yogic lens to modern leadership—something we can all apply. “Yoga teaches me consistency without burnout. Stillness allows me to pause before reacting,” he says. “That pause brings clarity over chaos—an invaluable skill in both business and life.”
We asked him what one small practice anyone can begin with this Yoga Day. His advice? Keep it simple. “Start with conscious breathing, a walk, or a few gentle stretches. You don’t need a mat or flexibility—just presence and regularity. Even showing up and listening counts. That small act preserves discipline, which becomes the foundation of transformation.”

In today’s hyper-distracted world, it’s easy to assume yoga might get lost in the digital noise. But Saurabh sees it differently. “Technology isn’t the enemy—it’s a tool. We’ve used it to bring mindfulness to millions,” he explains. “The future of yoga lies in micro-practices, gamified habits, and digital communities that support conscious living.”
This International Yoga Day, we’re inspired to embrace yoga and reimagine it as a lifestyle—accessible, inclusive, and adaptable to the realities of our fast-paced lives. Whether we unroll a mat, take a deep breath, or slow down for a moment, we’re taking a powerful step forward.
Because in the end, as Saurabh Bothra reminds us, yoga isn’t about perfection—it’s about presence. And showing up for ourselves, even for five mindful minutes, is the most transformative part of all.
