As we mark PCOS Awareness Week, Women Fitness India brings you stories of women who are redefining beauty, health, and confidence on their own terms. Among them is Sarah Sarosh —a beauty and lifestyle influencer and the founder of Impulse Coffees—whose journey from medical college to digital entrepreneurship has been as inspiring as it is relatable.
When I sat down with Sarah, one of the first things she wanted to emphasize was a myth that continues to surround PCOS. “A common misconception is that PCOS is not treatable and is passed down genetically. While people may believe they can pass it on to their children, that is not the case,” she shared with quiet conviction. For Sarah Sarosh, raising awareness means clarifying that PCOS is a lifestyle disorder, not a life sentence. With mindful management, women can lead fulfilling, confident lives, though she acknowledges that neglecting it for long can indeed lead to fertility challenges.
Sarah’s story as a content creator began during her days as an occupational therapy student. Struggling with hormonal acne, she noticed a glaring gap online—very few creators looked like her or spoke about skin concerns that mirrored her own. “I wanted to be that person and fill that gap on the internet by being unfiltered, raw, and honest,” she explained. It was during the COVID-19 pandemic, with extra time on her hands after graduation and a surge in social media consumption, that her digital journey truly took off.
But success did not come without its share of pressures. “The biggest challenge is being my most authentic self and being ready for the backlash that comes when my opinions don’t align with others,” Sarah admitted. In a space where influencers are often boxed into expectations, she chose to grow a thick skin and stay rooted in authenticity—even when it meant facing criticism.
Over the years, Sarah’s content has grown alongside her. From beauty tutorials to lifestyle inspiration, and now entrepreneurial storytelling, her videos have become aspirational roadmaps for the younger generation. “I’ve spent the last three years building my startup, so now I also make a lot of videos to inspire those who want to start their own businesses and build empires,” she said with the kind of clarity that comes from lived experience.
When I asked her what inspired the shift from medical college to entrepreneurship, Sarah’s answer was simple but powerful: it was about creating value. Her love for beauty, paired with a vision to build something of her own, gave birth to Impulse Coffees, a brand now as much a part of her identity as her digital content.
For Sarah, beauty and entrepreneurship aren’t just professional pursuits—they’re ways of starting conversations, breaking taboos, and showing women that their stories matter. And in the context of PCOS Awareness Week, her message is crystal clear: knowledge is empowerment, lifestyle is medicine, and authenticity is the key to confidence.
