Ingredients
- 250 gms Broccoli – broken into small
- lowerettes
- 1 cup shelled peas
- ½ tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp cornflour dissolved in ¼ cup milk
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tsp butter - optional
- 1tsp salt, ½ tsp pepper
Instructions
- Boil small flowerettes of broccoli & peas in water with ½ tsp salt & ½ tsp sugar added to it. Strain.
- Boil 2 cups milk in a heavy bottomed pan. Add cornflour paste, stirring continuously. Cook on low heat, stirring continuously, for 5 minutes till the raw smell of cornflour disappears. Add butter, ½ tsp salt & pepper.
- Add the boiled vegetables & cook for 2-3 minutes on low flame.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish & bake in a hot oven till golden brown.
