Ingredients
- 4 simla mirch (capsicums)
- ½ cup channa dal (split gram) – boiled
- 200 gms paneer (cottage cheese) mashed roughly.
- 2 green chillies – finely chopped
- 2 tbsp dhania (fresh coriander) - finely chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dhania (coriander) powder
- ½ tsp amchoor (dried mango powder)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp oil
Instructions
- Cut capsicums into half. Scoop out the seeds and make it hollow. Rub a little salt on the inner surface. Keep them upside down for 10 minutes.
- Boil channa dal in a little water for about 10 minutes, till very soft. Strain.
- Mix paneer, green chillies, fresh dhania and all the spices together. Add channa dal. Mix lightly.
- Fill the capsicum halves with this mixture. Press well and keep aside till serving time.
- Heat a non-stick pan or a flat bottomed kadhai. Put 1 tsp oil and spread the oil to coat the pan.
- Arrange the filled capsicum & cook, covered on low heat for 8-10 minutes, till the capsicum gets cooked. Do not cook for a longer time as they will turn limp on doing so. Serve.
- You may also put the capsicums in the microwave or cook in a moderately hot oven.
