- 2 packets button mushrooms
- 3 spring onions
- 1 red onion
- 2 tsp finely chopped ginger
- 2 tsp finely chopped garlic
- 3 green chillies chopped
- 1 tbsp peanut oil
- 2 tsp cornflour
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp vinegar or lemon
- 2 tsp honey
- salt to taste
- 1 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Clean the mushrooms well with warm water and cut them into halves.
- Chop the green onions and onions into slices.
- Get the rest of the ingredients ready as they will be needed once the oil is hot.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add the onions, green chillies, ginger and garlic to it.
- Stir fry them till onions become transparent.
- Then add the mushrooms and cook them till they turn golden brown.
- On the side prepare a paste of cornflour, soy sauce, vinegar and honey in 1/4 cup water.
- Add this to the cooked mushrooms and stir continuously for a minute.
- Then add the pinch of salt and black pepper to it.
- Serve hot with brown fried rice.
