Ms. Namita Nayyar:
From being a degree holder in MBA to becoming a household name for your much-acclaimed performance in “Diya aur baati hum”. Tell us how has the journey been for you, also was acting something you always wanted to do?
The journey has been amazing so far. And I am really grateful to God, to my fans that, they still know me and they still remember my character name. They still remember Diya Aur Baati Hum was so popular that, you know, it has been telecast in more than 15 countries. And people always, not only in India, outside India, also people know my name.
So that’s a very beautiful feeling. It’s like I never imagined that I would be going to be so popular. So I think it’s my great parent’s karma and yes, amazing feeling. So also, was acting something you always wanted to do, since childhood? I was very, keen to learn classical dance form, but not acting, actually. But yeah, when I accidentally came across, some modeling campaign because of my college friends, I started doing events in college days and I gave other auditions also so many auditions like and struggle in Delhi for four to five years.
So, so much work I have done in Delhi. And then I finally auditioned for Diya Aur Baati Hum I gave audition for the main lead and I came to Mumbai in 2011. So this is my story about being an actor.
